I think what DW said was that Defense is first, so shutouts get precedence, and then if there is more than one shutout, it goes to differential. I think the same applies for the rest as well.

wow, really? 41-7 isn't as good? he got one 50 yard bomb that morphed through my safety in double coverage before halftime lol...that sucks, 1 play away...but i think total yard differential should be taken into account otherwise its basically a defensive POTW award. unless you factor in team record, then i'd give it to greener as well but as far as i know that had no relevance. just wanted one more for nfc!

I agree, there could be more taken into consideration, like total yds, record, etc. But I don't think we wanna get into points for because that will lead to people running scores up. But you're right more could be taken into consideration for sure. That being said, I don't blame DW for the way he does it currently, because I know I wouldn't want to look at every game's box score, and have to compare yardage and records etc for every winner. Especially when he's already doing so much.

no one in this league runs scores on people though, and i could've intentionally not made my 3rd down conversion to kick on another 3 points but instead picked a play to get the 1st and kneel the ball...as i expect everyone else would. but yeah since it was 0, i guess that trumps my 7. stupid morph!

It's always been lowest points allowed first, then goes to point differential second like Cheddah said. Seems like the easiest/fairest way to do it, without making Deathwish do a bunch of extra work.

Yeah bros...it's lowest amount of points allowed...it always has been...makes guys focus on defense...not running up the score. If there is a tie...it then goes to points differential scored on opponent. It is completely fair...and anyone who shuts out another team...definitely deserves the POTW in my mind. Regardless of how much you blew your opponent out or however many of yards you gave up.

We need an official tally of all the POTW awards since Season 1...anyone up for it? I'm just curious..it has to be between Falcon (THE NFC HIMSELF) and JMO.

i had 4 or 5 this season and missed half of it lol, and yeah it was 5 or 6 last season not sure...but since my ps3 died i don't know how many more of those i'll be raking in lol. lets hope i can can a family member or the gf into an early christmas gift...
