i also knocked off buddah's vikings today as a result of him being out of town.

I still clinched the 1 seed the road to the title goes through Denver for the 3rd straight year

Looks like Greenerrr's tie will cost me the division. Not cool.

Thats pretty typical for greenerrr if you ask me. When the game first came out and the leagues just got started i was booted from franchises for beating him with an IOR, which wasnt even a rule @ that time ( I am the reason for the rule because he LOST to me in that game). Now last night i play Greenerrr in the new CHZ League and beat him again. He himself said it was 100% legit ETC. But then he had to make a comment about my DE dropping in a zone D and getting a pick was Cheezzz and shit. So i point out a few of his wrongs and it all starts!!! He tells me to GO Fuck Myself calls me and IDIOT and even goes as far as kicking me outta his Greenerrr 1 Franchise which had nothing to do with that game. He continued with vulgarity and insulting comments even when i told him i wanted no part of fighting with him b/c last time i stood up to him i was booted from all franchises and this website. Needless to say i appriciate all that he has done and accomplished with this site, franchises etc.... But he needs to learn how to lose and not pin point everything ppl do b/c i know he is not even close to PERFECT. I hope this doesnt get outta hand b/c i want NO TROUBLE with anyone, i just love to play the DAMN GAME. Thanks guys ACE1129.

Yeah...that is complete bullshit. You shouldn't have been booted. There is nothing wrong with a DE playing a zone...I do that all the time in my 46 formation.

I don't know all the facts because there is two sides to every story. However, I DO know Slick's side, and in this recent case Ace's side. From those point's of view I will agree that's BS. Especially in slick's case. There's no defense for that. In Ace's case, the IOR is BS, but I don't think you should have been booted before it was a rule. There is also no excuse for name-calling and vulgarity...especially over the internet, it's childish. All that being said, I think you guys all expect too much from Greener. Just because he founded this website and does all this stuff for the franchises etc. Doesn't make him some kind of person above us...so why would you expect him NOT to act childish or bitch about stuff when he loses?? Ace, remember when we played in Vista lg and I smoked you and you quit on me 3 times?? I was hella pissed and thought you were a douche until you explained you were just being pissy/frustrated and then it was all good with us. I expect nothing different from anyone I play. When a lot of people here lose they bitch and moan about all kinds of shit, even when it's within the rules (like sending a DE into a zone). Last time I played Greener and beat him he complained that I threw into double coverage a lot (which is not the case...I'm always looking at the WR in SINGLE coverage...anyone who's played me knows that) but so what?? People will find ANY excuse as to why you win...I do it to sometimes. All you gotta do is realize people are frustrated, and even though you don't want to you have to approach them as such. When Greener or anyone comes at me aggressively because I just beat them, it's as simple as politely disagreeing with them and letting the rest roll off your back. Does this excuse his actions of booting Ace, or quitting on slick? No. But it doesn't suprise me that he hasn't owned up to it or made reparations (sp?) because why should it suprise me? I don't know him from anyone else so why would I expect him to act in any particular way? Because he founded an awesome Madden website?

Those are good points Cheddah. It isn't unusual for ANYONE to act like a doucher after (or during) a loss. I'm surprised I haven't kicked my dog sometimes when I'm losing, I hate it so bad.
However, when a commissioner does it it kind of undermines the whole endeavor. Like it or not, if you are a commissioner you need to be held to a higher standard for several reasons:

1. No one likes to follow a hypocrite, and when a person in power (even if it is petty shit like a video game chat group) can't follow the rules that he is charged with enforcing, why would anyone else? The rules he claims are important will mean nothing if he sets the example that they don't have to be followed.

2. It would be one thing if Greenerrr fucked up once in a while out of frustration or anger and then owned up to it and apologized, but he isn't even doing that! He has yet to take ownership of any of this, and even worse, he has BOOTED people because of his own frustration.

If a regular player acts a fool, the most damage he can do is piss someone off or maybe affect the outcome of ONE game. If a commisioner acts a fool, he can remove someone from a franchise or edit them from this site. That is not cool.

3. Look at the content of Ace's message. Not only the complaints themselves, but the rest of it. You can tell that he was hesitant to even bring up Greenerrr's behavior because he has already been booted for pissing him off - dude just wants to play madden. Because Greenerrr abused his role of commish, he's got people in the league scared to call out his BS. This is the kind of erosion of integrity that happens when a leader acts capriciously and outside the rules (and then fails to right the wrong by admitting and correcting it.)

I'm not saying that it surprises me when someone acts out because of Madden. I'm also not saying that I expect Greenerrr to be some kind of saint. I AM saying that that kind of shit coming from someone in charge makes the whole thing weaker. If he (or any commissioner) really wants to have a successful league, it would be better to show some discipline and not act like a d-bag. And if you can't control yourself, and happen to have a lapse in control, at least OWN UP to it afterwards and try to fix it!

Great post. I agree with every single point you just made. Greener complains more than anyone in this game...ONLY WHEN HE LOSES. If he wins...you don't hear a word from him...but almost every time he loses I get about 4 or 5 messages of ALL CAPS...of him bitching about something....even when I beat him...he did the same thing to me. I never experienced that name calling though. That is just lame. He should know better.
