Raiders Week 7 (Vs. BEARZ4LIFE's Broncos)
The final score was 10-13 him so the game can pretty much be summarized as: "neither offense did anything". I had a pick 6 for my only TD, and he had a long TD to Driver who caught a quick slant, broke tackles, and took it the distance for his only endzone trip. He was able to tack on 2 field goals while I only managed 1, so he came out with the win and he deserved it.
Offense
Our offense looked terrible, Spiller couldn't find any running room, and I couldn't find anybody open when I dropped back to pass. It looked like he was running 1 or 2 qb spies on most running downs which probably explains why Spiller couldn't go anywhere, but even the times when I caught him in that defense and tried to pass, the receiver either dropped the ball or nobody was open. I had 135 yards of total offense, so there's really not a lot to say, other than that he plays good defense, and I suck.
Defense
The defense played great, as they have all season (except when I was on vacation and against CP, but that's expected ha), and they kept us in the game up to the final minute. He had 84 rushing yards which is more than we usually give up, but it was at less than 4 yards per carry so I think that was due more to the fact that my offense couldn't stay on the field than that the defense did a bad job. His QB hit 50% of his passes, with 1 TD and 2 picks, so I felt like we did a good job against the pass for the most part, with one huge exception. Donald Driver was consistently beating Mike Jenkins press, which was leaving him wide open and allowed him to rack up over 150 receiving yards and his offenses only TD. I double checked after the game, Driver's release is 64, Jenkins press is 93. Not sure what was happening with that, I know it pissed me off pretty good during the game when I thought I might have misread his release when I scouted his team, and even more so when I looked after the game and saw that I hadn't ha. Brandon Marshall didn't beat Jenkins press nearly as often when I played CP and he has 99 release, so I'm not sure if BEARZ knows a trick that I need to learn, or if Jenkins just had a bad day. Without the wide open throws to Driver, he didn't have a lot of offense so maybe I could have pulled out the win, but props to him for finding the mismatch and exploiting it.
