MG Suggestion....

This is probably a suggestion for next year.. but I have a suggestion about scheduling.

We typically give 48 hours to advance for most leagues, but for anyone that is in 5 or so leagues or more, it gets to be damn hard to figure out when everyone is going to advance... so why not put them on a set day.

For instance, advance on Mondays, Wednesday and Saturdays.

You'd have an extra day on the Saturday advance.

I think this might help scheduling, as people will always know the days they need to have their games played... Instead of guessing which day for which league, you'd know when they all advanced and would probably take that extra time to get it wrapped up.

I picked Saturday as a the advance date, so people could possibly get 2 games in during the weekend.

Interesting suggestion...but what happens with players who have a work schedule that prevents them from playing on certain days. Like someone in my league (I think Dominator) HAS to work Tuesday nights. So if scheduling were set in stone, he'd never be able to play on a Tuesday night, and if advance was wednesday, that'd severely hamper his ability to play games.

Nonono, those are the dates that you play, those are the days that league advances.

So you'd know that you have until that day to get the game in.

In this scenario

Play Saturday & Sunday before advance on Monday
Play Monday & Tuesday before advance on Wednesday
Play Wednesday, Thursday & Friday before advance on Saturday.

Interesting suggestion though I think everything is fine as is right now.

i think its worth considering for next yeat - there is something to be said for the KISS philospy - KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

What about the super VIP league that is going to advance at a faster rate?

The only issue with this is that the leagues that can keep the 2 day schedule will move slower. CHZ and DW advance every two days like clockwork - this gives you 7 weeks of game play per two weeks of time - this schedule will make it 6 weeks of play per two weeks of time. Over a month - it's 14 to 12. Over four months it is a half a season worth of games - it adds up.

Maybe the VIP league should advance 5 times per week?

this is only discussion fo rnext year - i think we have a policy in place right now that every1 is use to (despite possible short comings - doesnt mean uit cant be improved on for next year)
