Inadvertain plyrs droped in rookie drafts

Ok - i have done 3 rookie drafts in 3 nites - and i am certain about this... Prior to the draft i dropped 7 players - making room for 7 players that i was about to draft - BUT WHAT DO YOU KNOW? The infamous madden CPU decides to drop more of my players (which i plan to use) - gratefully i was able to get them all back - anbd the MG members are all reasonable guys - I have only had to go into some1 team and drop playters agaisnt their will (somehow he though that POLUMULU was a legitimate FA pick up!!! lol - needless to say this player is not part of the MG anymore!)

Does any1 know how or why the CPU decides to do this? - is it by position? Do they just look at overal ratings? Or maybe just player potentials? - any1 have a clue about this?

I have no clue why this happens, I did the same thing and after draft once, My opponent and I decided to play right away well guess what I have no kicker! The computer dropped my kicker during draft I always keep my roster way low so I still don't understand.

I tried to explain this before, but no one believes me. You need to drop 8, not 7. The roster limit is 55, true, but after a draft Madden lowers you to 54, leaving an open spot. So you need to be at 47 before the draft starts or it will drop someone.

that still not true phantom.. i have released 10 guys off my roster before an rookie draft leaving me at 45 people.. and it still wind up releasing 2 or 3 guys that it was not suppose to... so dropping 8 doesnt help much either...

Never seen that happen. It will, however, release extra players if you are somehow below the minimum for a position and you don't pick any up during the draft, it'll release someone and pick up another guy at that position.

nah i usually have the minimum players needed at each postion.. i usually have atleast 2 of every postion except at DT which i have 4, wr i have 4 and cb i have 4.. all others i usally have 2 when getting ready for the rookie draft... so i dont know...
