Week 7 Power Rankings Empty Week 7 Power Rankings

Post by VanillaSmooth Fri Jan 06, 2012 8:00 pm

5th edition of VIP power rankings. A great game of the week this week to mix up the standings a little but overall not a lot of movement. If you beat one of these top ranked teams, your team will get a mention in next weeks edition. But for the 3rd straight week the Minnesota Vikings stay up top the rankings with yet another win

Week 7 Power Rankings Minnesota-vikings1

(--) 1) Minnesota Vikings 7-0 RIPxPatTillman40. The vikings get another solid win vs the Green Bay Packers in a 29-26 victory. The vikings do not put up huge number or win by a lot but they win and no one can stop them in their balanced attack on offense and defense. Maybe the Carolina Panthers can get a huge upset win this week?

(--) 2) Cincinnati Bengals 6-0 Dlew16 Bengals had a bye week this week as AP and the team needed some rest. The Bengals run game as proven unstoppable as RB A.Peterson is leading the way in rushing and Offensive Player of the year. The Bengals look to have another huge day on the ground vs the up and coming Seattle Seahawks

(+1) 3) Tennessee Titans 6-0 alphadantedog. The Titans had a huge win over the Houston Texans with a 43-28 win. Rookie RB M.Ingram had a huge game with 193 yards on 20 att and 3 TDs earning him the Offensive Player Of The Week Honors. Rookie QB C.Newton again proves he is one of the elite QBs in the league throwing 2 TDs with 213 yards and 73 yards on the ground with a rushing TD. QB C.Newton is the favorite to win the Offensive Rookie Of The Year. The Titans look for another dominating win week 8 over the Indianapolis Colts

(-1) 4) San Fransisco 49ers 5-1 CantBbeat83 The 2nd team in the top 5 with a bye week this week is the 49ers. 49ers O-Line is also getting some rest as they are blocking for the 2nd league leading rusher RB F.Gore. The 49ers D has been dominating after their week 3 loose only giving up 16 ppg and scoring 31 ppg

(--) 5) Chicago Bears 6-1 chizz522 Winning* the Week 7 Game Of The Week 24-10 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers This game lagged out at beginning of the 4th so a * will be awarded next to the win and they will not move up in rankings this week. RE E.Dummerville was the Week 7 Defensive Player of the Week with 5 sacks 6 tackles and 1 force fumble

(+1) 6) Dallas Cowboys 5-1 I_LovE_AreolaS. The Cowboys continue to move up in the rankings as they get a huge 29-8 win over the St. Louis Rams WR Rookie sensations A.Green lead this team to a win with 124 yards on 7 catches with a TD. Rookie RB S.Ridley chimmed in with 80 yards on 16 attempts and 2 TDs as he is the favorite to win Rookie Of The Year. The Cowboys are the Game Of The Week in Week 8 as they face their division rival Philadelphia Eagles

(-1) 7) Arizona Cardinals 5-1 K15Nichols The Cardinals fall another spot this week as they still continue to win but are not dominating their opponents like they should be. The Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-16. Hopefully these Cardinals can prove the league wrong and get a huge win over the Baltimore Ravens

(+2) 8 ) New York Jets 5-2 Toothpick978. The Jets are a newcomer to the top 10 as they have been a team on the outskirts the past weeks. The Jets had a big 35-16 win over the San Diego Chargers as they dominated every point of this game. The Jets hope to not follow the other newcomers to the top ten and loose the very next week butthey have a bye week in week 8 and look to improve on their passing game as QB D.McNabb has very high picks this year

(+1) 9) Green Bay Packers 4-2 Grim-x-Reefer Even though the packers lost in week 7 they only lost to the #1 ranked Viking 26-29. So the Packers are going to move up to #9 this week as they hope to upset the Vikings again in week 10. Packers are on bye this week as they look to improve on their pass protection as they gave up 6 sacks vs the Vikings

(+1) 10) Seattle Seahawks 4-2 tragicallyhip_ A newcomer this week will round out our top 10 as the Seahawks had a 35-3 win over the Cleveland Browns QB M.Sanchez threw 5 TDs in the dominating win. The Seahawks also hope to not suffer the curse of the new top 10 loosing the next week as they face the undefeated #2 ranked Cincinnati Bengals in the runner up Game Of The Week

Teams To Watch Out For:
1)Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-3 I think this team is a lot better than their record shows
2) New England Patriots 4-2 Only reason they are not in the top 10 is because they had a bye week this week
3) Miami Dolphins 4-2 HB MJD can kill you and this teams running game is one of the best
4) Philadelphia Eagles 4-2 Anyone with RB C.Johnson is a threat and they also have the game of the week and they want to prove they belong in the TOP 10

Leave your thoughts and opinions of the TOP 10. Did I mess up or get it right????
