Week 8 Power Rankings Empty Week 8 Power Rankings

Post by VanillaSmooth Tue Dec 11, 2012 5:42 pm

We are officially half way threw season 2!! The top half of the league is definitely clear cut. With 10 team with 4 wins the wild card hunt is definitely under way! There is a three way tie for the 10th spot in the power rankings as the teams that have just a little edge over the other 4 win teams. Also a new #1!! Since we are at half way of the season the rankings will highlight the keys to why the teams are in there respected spots!

Week 8 Power Rankings Real_logo

1) (--) Houston Texans 8-0
with 6 of their 8 wins against conference opponents the Texans take over the lone spot of #1. They will have a huge bulls eye on their back for the rest of the season. With the number one defense in the league only giving up 40 points the entire season, if anyone upsets them they will get huge points in the top ten the following week.

2) (-1)Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-0
The Bucs fell this week only because defense wins championships. They have the #2 ranked defense in the league with only giving up 7 points a game. Also they have the number one ranked offense in the league!! Not only does this team shut you down defensively they will initiate you on the offensive end. Can anyone bring this team down to earth giving them a good game?

3) (--) Denver Broncos 6-1
Ever since suffering there first loss the Broncos are on a four game win streak. Being 6-1 in one of the toughest divisions in the league shows they are the real deal. With one of the youngest teams in the league they show they are well coach. Majority of their players I have never heard of but they are putting up huge numbers.

4) (+1) Dallas Cowboys 6-1
The only other one loose team in the league the Dallas Cowboys prove they are top 5 material. With their only loss coming from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers big D is on a mission to win out the rest of the season. While HB D.Murray is on the sideline for a few more weeks lets see if they can keep it up vs the Giants & Jets in the coming weeks.

5) (+4) New York Jets 6-2
Rounding out the top 5 are everyone's favorite team the New York Jets. After suffering 2 straight looses the Jets are back to their winning ways as they have won their last two games. With team captain FS E.Thomas being out for 2 more weeks lets see if their D will be able to hold up.

6) (-2) Minnesota Vikings 6-2
With a loss last week the Vikings fall out of the top 5. Still one of the biggest surprises this season the Vikings are set to go deep in the playoffs. They have no problem playing on the road as they have won both of their match ups away from home.

7) (-1) New York Giants 5-2
I think everyone is asking the same thing, what happened to the Giants? Probably everyone's favorite to give the Bucs a run for their money out of the NFC the Giants are 1-2 in their last 3 games. Will they be able to get back to that 4-0 team we all remember or will they miss the playoffs completely?

10) (new) 4-3
Washington Redskins Hoping to get on a roll and have a shot at making the playoffs the Redskins are gonna need to win some big games to come with one of the best offenses in the league.

New Orleans Saints They are just finding a way to win. Even though being outscored 77 points on the season they are on a 2 game win streak. Will they keep it up and be one of the ten teams to show up the second half?

Pittsburgh Steelers Never count out the defending World Champions. Even though they have suffered some tough losses I think they will rebound the second half of the season and show they are a team to watch out for.

Teams To Watch Out For:
All of the 4 win teams. There is still a lot of football to be played this season and this is make it or break time for all 10 of these teams. Lets see who will show up or who will is planning for the upcoming draft.....

I know comments have gotten more sporadic, but I still think this is a really cool feature that I enjoy checking out. Your work isn't going unnoticed!
