VOTE on when we should have our INITIAL FANTASY DRAFT

All players are required to be at the draft - From previous experience we have found that players absent from the draft (regardless if they ranked their players) end up with a WEAKER team - Often players will quit the LG b/c of this and its difficult to find a player that is willing to take over a "weaker" team... To illiminate this - ALL PLAYERS MUST BE AT THE DRAFT - if you are not at the draft - YOU WILL BE REPLACED (we will have a managed wait-list of players that are EAGER to get in our franchise - they will be standing ready to fill in for any DRAFT DAY NO-SHOWS - SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ABLE TO BE AT THE DRAFT! (NOTE - if you are a draft day no-show - this may effect your standing in other franchises within our GROUP)

all i gotta say is... AWESOME !!! lol i havnt played madden since last years franchises all dropped off, shortly after MLB came out... i was actually itching to play a few days ago, but when i saw ur message greener, i realized madden 11 will be out in less than a month so im really looking forward to getting the ball rolling... as far as the draft, well im usually available any time on the week end, so i say the sooner the better, but then again it is a long time away... alot came come up between now and aug. 14th, but rest assured that if for any reason i were to miss the draft, i would stick in till the end, regardless of my team/roster/record - its the same for most people in MLB too, if they miss the draft, they quit, plain n simple... whats good about franchise mode is that even if you have a losing record, you can always turn things around the next season - and the rookie draft really helps when you finish in the bottom of the standings too - now, what i would suggest is not to invite anyone that quit last years league... might be kinda hard, but thats what ill be doing for MLB, with a few exceptions of course... i mean some guys had valid reasons for dropping out, but others just couldnt stand to lose, and those are guys i wouldnt want in any of my leagues... i say once a quitter, always a quitter... now lets get this thing started and actually finish 10 whole seasons this year

Im just saying this, but i think having the draft on a Sat. at 2 is just dumb. For the first place, why would you want to be home on a sat. afternoon? i mean come on now.

Hey greener having it saturday and sunday at 2 in the summer is crazy man i mean who wants to sit home in the middle of the day when it has a chance to be really nice out.I guess what im saying is if you have it at that time i think people may skip out if its nice out just a thought and also playing in your franchises last year it seemed like more people where on later so if people do skip out i think it would be easier to fill spots if people dont show sunday at 9 but ill be there regardless when every the time maybe...

excellent point CT2384 - Its hard thinking of a time that is BEST FOR EVERY1 - I didnt think that a Friday or Saturday nite draft would be cool with our "younger" members (it makes no difference to me - my Saturday nite carousing is LONG OVER) - but their are plenty of young bucs that dedicated Fri and Sat evening to dabotchery and sin! (and i wouldnt want to get in the way of that!) - So maybe you have the righjt idea - sunday evening 9 pm may be the best option - how does every1 feel about this?

id say either set it earlier so people dont have to worry about wasting their whole day... like if it starts at say 10 or 11, itll be done by noon or 1pm... but yeah it would suck wasting a whole sunny saturday afternoon, but what if it rains all day ? lol like i said up there, alot of stuff can come up between now and then, but if ur dedicated then just auto-draft and work with what u get, no biggie

gotta remeber bro - we have members from coast to coast - - so 10 am for us is 6 am for others! and if its rainy where you live, its gonna be sunny for some1 - somewhere in our group - its gonna be tough to pls 32 members 100%...

the bottom line is that we will do our best to pick a time that is best for as many guys as possible - for those in the minority who are not happy with the draft time - those are the breaks! wins some - you lose some! (can`t think of any other coacqulism) - LOL - we would just ask those players to under stand the overall situation and try to work with us!

Uhm well if we have any other time other than 9pm On the 15th then yeah I'm screwed I've got baseball in Richmond VA so I might be able to get back for that but anyother of the times I'm out of the league apparently haha

it looks like Sunday night is starting to move ahead (and there si 1 player who informed he changed his vote form sat afternoon to sunday night (we will need to manual account for this as there is no way to change votes oin the system) - this makes the margin greater (1 vote less for sat and 1 vote more for sunday)...

I cant do saturdays but sunday @ 9pm is perfect cuz most ppl are home more on a sunday evening.Good point chuck, but you dont leave ur house anyway lol. Oh and your camp needs some mowing!!! Get out of the house bro!

i know im just 1 person and if i am selected to be apart of this franchise 9pm est would be perfect. i work 10 hours days on weekends but get off about 9pm est so i would be able to make it.

I would have to autodraft if it were saturday or sunday during the day, this is what had to do a few times last year because all the drafts were in the afternoon. It would be awesome to get to do a live draft this time
