Saints looking to finish season off strong
After another drubbing at the hands of the divisional Rival Falcons the Saints have been trying to make moves to look toward next season. They have already added CB Bruce Johnson after that they dealt off WR Devin Thomas and brought in WR Trent Jones and Olb Shaun Phillips who still has some gas left in the tank.
Their next move came on a surprise call from GM Deathwish with interest in young Qb Andrew Parris who had come out and started the teams week 11 game against the Rams. The negotiations were fairly short and the Saints ended up shipping off the young Qb Parris for seasoned veteran Qb Matt Schuab and the Browns 2nd round pick. Upon learning that Parris had been dealt Coach BillDozer quickly pulled his young starter. With trade dumped circulating about bench veteran Qb Matt Cassel the teams only other option was Qb Dan Lefevour. Who came in and finished the game off.
Come to find out the trade rumours about Cassel were true as the next day he was shipped to the Giants for a 3rd round pick. This left the team with question of what to do at the WR spot because they had show interest in stud wideout Calvin Johnson only to be shot down by the Redskins.
As they were looking into the draft class for this upcoming season trying to study some of the Wideouts in the upcoming draft there was only hours left before the trade deadline and the most shocking call came in. It was GM CHILD PLEASE looking to deal Calvin Johnson Jr negotiations only lasted a few minutes as the Saints and Redskins finalized a deal to bring Calvin Johnson Jr to New Orleans. The Saints sent their 1st and 3rd round picks to the Skins along with MLB Ben Nunez. The Skins could also acquire a conditional 2nd round pick in next years draft if the Saints were to trade Johnson.
The Saints gave up their high pick in the draft but they got that Stud receiver that they so cherished. Now we will see how well Johnson can mesh into the Saints offense in their week 13 game against Coach EZ and the division rival Bucs. Schaub now has another target along side All Pro TE MUNCHIE Cosh who is returning to the team after missing 3 weeks with an abdominal tear he sustained in the teams week 10 games against the Falcons. The Sainta offense went from terrible to a threat in the matter of a few minutes and it should be interesting to see how they finish out the year with their new additions to the team.

Yea great team that just got crushed . I can't buy a win and it's irritating to bring in Calvin Johnson and not even make it through a gm with him and he goes down injured for the year

RE:
Nice moves Bill! Sorry to hear about Johnson, but I'm sure he'll make up for it next season which thankfully is quickly approaching! NFC South is turning into a beastly division!
