Re: Panthers and steelers
a mobile qb is a total waste vs people who can audible just 1 cb to spy with an end contain...but i guess if your in it to run around and fumble with vick hey, be my guest. my overall point though, is the team will be deemed useless in 1 or 2 seasons tops after digression. and whats the point of having a mobile qb with arthritis and no wr's under 35 to throw to? again...not a hit on anyone, just would like to see more big picture awareness when trading is all.

"you are the best scrambler ive seen in the madden group"
-Nathan Greene
go look at my stats with vick. im a different player with a scrambler (who can pass). mike is gonna be around for 3-4 years. im a legit player. if i screw up a team. its my mess to get out of . go look at my grnr1 team i screwed that team up and i still havent left it. if i leave a league its because i dont have time to play in it and believe me this and deathwish are my favorite leagues. so im gonna have that team until madden 12.
i hope to have a better record next year. GL to all of you.

Re: Panthers and steelers
this doesnt need to be vetoed. i WANT this trade and im not gonna leave this team.... so if i wanna screw up a team im gonna keep till the franchises end then why should you or anyone else care?phantomshark wrote:I was under the assumption that the commissioner had the power to veto trades. I'm not a big fan of vetoes, but I think this trade would cry out for one.

It's hard to value that aspect of if everything breaks down, it's nice to have a guy like Vick who could turn any play into a huge one. Plus, it's just more fun playing with a guy like that. ALSO, like a previous poster pointed out, Late 2nds are almost worthless. Well, not worthless, you get the guys that take a while to develop, but they arn't that valuable.
i completely disagree with the part of late 2nd being almost worthless.. in mg surf lg i wind up getting 80 overall hb jermaine baker who is an A potential with like the 20th pick... and in rd 3 i wind up getting rashard house. who is an 74 overall hb and an A potential.. so i wouldnt call late picks especially in the 2nd rd pointless.. plus young is getting 4 2nd rd picks plus his he already has.. making 5 2nd rd picks and 3 3rd rd picks.. out of those 8 picks.. he could probably get atleast 6 out of 8 which will be starters... so i dont really see that being worthless.. and i had vick in ez lg.. vick is the fastest mobile qb but he is 31 yrs old and his accuracy aint the best either.. i dont care how fast he is.. he aint an actually qb stud...
finally to say that it isnt THAT lopsided?? u most be joking.. 85 overall qb michael vick and 64 overall ROLB travis laboy.. for 88 overall ROLB chad greenway, 81 overall qb matt cassel, 4 2ND RD PICKS, and 2 3RDS?!?!?!? how is that not lopsided?? michael vick aint no A potential he is an B.. and by next season or 2 seasons vick will start to decline... and i know laboy aint no A potential.. so he is more or less worthless... ill break down the trade even better:
STEELERS GOT:
88 ROLB CHAD GREENWAY 29 YRS OLD ? POTENTIAL
81 QB MATT CASSEL 29 YRS OLD ? POTENTIAL
4 2ND RD PICKS
2 3RD RD PICKS
PANTHERS GOT:
64 OVERALL ROLB TRAVIS LABOY 30 YRS OLD ? POTENTIAL
85 OVERALL QB MICHAEL VICK 31 YRS OLD B POTENTIAL
how u figure that its not THAT lopsided??

Didn't say it was fair, just said it wasn't as lopsided as we were making it out to be. And about the mobile QB being a waste. Well in the scenario you provided, just Vick's presence on the field has taken two defenders from their normal role of covering, pass-rushing, filling gaps, etc. So it's now 10 players vs 9, favoring the offense. It's like I said, a mobile QB changes the game.
