Jets Offseason Block, Last Minute Deals before draft Empty Jets Offseason Block, Last Minute Deals before draft

Post by phantomshark Tue Feb 01, 2011 4:26 am

If there is any interest in these players, the best pick offered will get them:

Tate, Ben, HB, 78
Bennett, Martellus, TE, 77
Jones, Sean, SS, 75
Cesaire, Jacques, LE, 75
Meredith, Jamon, RT, 73
Hargrove, Tony, DT, 73
Carr, Chris, CB, 70

I'd trade Andre Roberts, WR, 72 for a 3rd rounder, or a decent return guy.

The following players are negotiable, but I won't ask for much. I doubt I'd take less than a 3rd rounder for any of them, though, except Zinger of course:

Peerman, Cedric, HB, 66
Alleman, Andy, C, 75
Zinger, Keith, TE, 61
Mcbath, Darcel, FS, 80
Allen, Jason, CB, 71
Mays, Corey, MLB, 74

These are the players I expect interest in, mainly looking for draft picks, but would consider young good-potential players:

Lloyd, Brandon, WR, 86
Ford, Jacob, RE, 79
Mariani, Marc, WR, 70
Hardy, Greg, LE, 75
Williams, Demorrio, MLB, 75
Butler, Victor, LOLB, 70
Conner, Kavell, ROLB, 60
Durand, Ryan, RG, 76
Hills, Tony, LT, 74
Sharper, Darren, FS, 93

Starters are not really on the block, but would consider an offer of a 1st and a player for them, depending on which one you want of course. I'm not actively shopping these, so offer would have to be quite good:

Polamalu, Troy, SS, 96
Moss, Randy, WR, 93
Freeney, Dwight, RE, 96
Clark, Dallas, TE, 96
Cutler, Jay, QB, 85
Lewis, Ray, MLB, 93
Mathis, Robert, LE, 92
Davis, Vontae, CB, 86
Mathews, Ryan, HB, 84
Ochocinco, Chad, WR, 88
Staley, Joe, LT, 87
Kalil, Ryan, C, 90
Jones, Jason, DT, 87
Goodman, Andre', CB, 82
Smith, Jason, RT, 87
Mcrath, Gerald, LOLB, 76
Atkins, Geno, DT, 77
Applewhite, Antwan, ROLB, 76
Steinbach, Eric, LG, 85
Pollak, Mike, RG, 79
Carpenter, Dan, K, 92
Graham, Earnest, FB, 82
Morstead, Thomas, P, 79

LOL man i think u need to find a new system of putting players on the trade block.. bc if anyone gives u an 3rd rd pick for any of those players in the 1st group they are crazy.. then in the next 2 groups u have maybe 4 or 5 good players but they are going to cost higher which most wont want to give up to much.. then ur starters ur listing as top dollar and wanting an 1st and a player..

like i said i mean no offense or anything.. im just trying to give u advice.. and only list players u think people would actually want.. not list literally ur whole team when most people arent going to even want ur back ups 2nd, 3rd or 4th string.. they would want some of ur starters but yet ur listing them as top dollar and wanting an 1st and a player... which i would only maybe give u something like that for 4 of the 23 u listed.. so next time man just list ur starters ur willing to give up and not bench...

No offense here at all bro. But even out of your most prized group, only a handful of those guys are worth more than a 1st. You could find a rookie with almost any first rd pick better than most of those guys, and if not immediately better, DEFINITELY younger with A/B potential.

Again, I don't know what people are going to want or value. I certainly know that Martellus Bennet or Andre Roberts are absolutely better than what you will get in the 3rd round, but whatever, if you don't like the players then don't make an offer.

On another note, I am really itching for a 1st round pick or 2, so feel free to make me an offer if you have some to trade.

all we are trying to do phantom is keep u from listing ur whole team on the trade block and save u time... bc like i said if u would of just put like some of ur high overalls and great players on the block and said these players are available for an 1st rd pick or we can work something out.. then u would get more offers.. and if someone liked something else on ur roster they would ask about it if it wasnt on ur trade block..

just trying to save u some time and trying to help...

I actually really like martellus bennet, and if I didn't have two stud TE's I might make an offer. However I've got 2 3rds and 4 4ths in this draft and I'm expecting to get 2 or three starters (if not this season then next) out of those picks. I have to disagree that Bennett and Roberts are "absolutely" better than what I will get.
I'll let you know what I got for those picks on thursday and we'll see whether you over-priced those guys.

Think there'll be any 91 speed young B-pot WRs left? Or 77 ovr young all-around B-pot TEs? I doubt it. I don't think they are overpriced at all. Now, if you want to say some of the other guys are not worth a 3rd, that's true, some are not. But to some people they might be, so I listed them all. Doesn't take me any longer, and you never know.

The potential means crap...if they have the attributes that make them "good" Furthermore, potential doesnt mean that much...unless u are playin the full length of seasons. Not all players super-accelerate their overalls. We might only have 2 seasons left...so, the potential factor isnt as "important" as it was back in August. I'd rather have a C potential guy...high on attributes already....then an A potential who is low on attributes...but can be that good in 2-3 seasons.

I can easily find just as good as a TE as Martellus Bennett in the 3rd...etc

Easily you can find hidden gems...

I've found a RB in the 6th round...before...that has 94 speed 70+ catch and over 80+ carry...

tell me what else he needs to be good? NOTHING

I drafted a 95speed B potential receiver last night in Greener's draft...in the 4th or 5th round.....

I'm not talking shit here. I might be wrong...especially in this league, but I still think you'll be surprised, phntm, at the talent I land in the 4th.

Apparently 'depending on which one you want' is lost on you. Though I do value kickers more than most.
