2014 MID SEASON REPORT

Back By popular demand this is the mid season report . It's week 11 now and we are starting to see who are the contenders and who are the pretenders. A bunch of nice story lines have developed this season to kick of the year of madden play on the right foot. Without further delay here is the top ten.

2. Giants 8-1
3. Jets 8-1
4. 49ers 8-1
5. Seahawks 8-2
6. Packers 7-2
7. Chargers 7-2
8. Colts 7-2
9. Saints 7-2
10. Ravens 7-2

According to WEASEL_ as of 12:30 am week 11 2014

1. Colts. (8-2) RIPxPatTillman40. Simply the best player in the league. Won 4 of 7 Super Bowls all in a row last year with the Steelers. Now the Colts team is going thru the regular season which seems to be just a formality. His only 2 losses have come to teams in the top 10 to the #7 Charers and the #3 49ers. His Big notable win is against the vaunted #2 Seahawks. Next big matchup for this team is vs the #4 Chiefs week 16 which will have big playoff implications. Colts are the top dogs in my book till someone dethrones them. The drama surrounding this team is the injury to starting QB Matt Barkley who is out 4 weeks with a ruptured disc. Could be a problem.

2. Seahawks. (9-2) Dcolon. Won 2 of 7 superbowls last year and is the reigning CHAMPION. Gota beat the best to be the best and one of his 2 losses come from the #1 Colts. The other to the lowely (2- Cardinals?! He's handed his division rival 49ers there only loss but has looke a bit shaky at the QB spot this season which is the teams only real weakness. 5 games remain with 3 of them that are big against the giants 49ers and the revenge game vs the Cardinals. There has been a lot of roster movement from this organization but all seems set up for a playoff run now.

3. 49ers. (8-1) K15nichols. I don't know who this guy is but he looks pretty good. His only loss comes to the team above him on the list. Big win against the #1Colts 51-48 week 3 and another notable win vs the Packers. Alex Smith is up for MVP and Shady McCoy is doing all the heavy offensive lifting. This team is a contender and will be giving Dcolon a run for his $ in the NFC West.

4. Chiefs (8-1) Maddening. Oh yes he is and he will drive you mad playing his Cheifs squad as well. His only loss coming to the malfunctioning (5-6) Eagles this team led by CJ Spiller who is making an MVP bid is bringing the pain. Notable wins against the #5 Giants and the Browns big matchup down the road week 16 s the Colts I wish I could see highlights from. And 2 games still yet to be played against the (7-2) Chargers which will decide the division and playoff seating. Big games still on the schedule for this team lets see if they hold up this spot.

5. Giants (9-1). Broadway_Blitz. Same old Giants from last year it feels like only this time it's Aaron Rodgers instead of Brady. Zing business as usual for the organization who went out and drafted more then %50 of his core players from last year. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Big wins this year vs the Packers and Bears and his only loss has come to the killer Chiefs. Looks like the tradition of the NFC east champs being the Gmen is glum to continue. 2 prime time matchup a remain against the Seahawks and Chargers. Another dangerous game vs the Lions.

6. Jets (9-1). WEASEL_. DRAMA! The Jets owners of the longest current winstreak in the league at 8 have been on the backpage all season long. With there coach being fired under questionable circumstances week 1 to beating BEastmode into retirement the headlines have been coming every week. Only loss to the (6-3) Patriots who are in wild card contention the Jets are playing great football in the second half this season as Terrell Pryor has orchestrated 5 fourth qt comebacks.

7. Chargers (7-2) BigChorizo4u. 2 big games remain vs the Chiefs for this team so this team can move up or down this list. I'm willing to bet its going to be up. A big signature win vs the #1 Colts 28-6 on Monday night football but 2 losses coming to teams they were favored against. Cam Newton leading the charge here literally. Regardless of the outcome of the future chief games this team should be punching a playoff ticket

8. Ravens (7-3). DR_McNoob. Just won big against the Bears this week to cement a top 10 spot. In a dog fight in the AFC north against the Browns who were owners of a top spot on the top ten list till a recent 2 game slide that has given the Ravens the division lead. Tyrod Taylor leads all QB with rushing yards this season looking dangerous. They split with the Browns no more head to he's games remain so they will be watching the scoreboard every week

9. Packers. (7-3). Gpatt55. All the losses have come to top ten teams vs the 49ers, Browns and Giants respectfully. Notable wins vs the Ravens and Bears but haven't win the "BIG" game yet this year. 3 more division games remain so the stamp has yet to be out on this season for the Packers. The NFC north is the tightest division in te standings right now

10. Browns (6-3). Killilluminati was rolling in the AFC untill curemt 2 game slide. They had split with the Ravens and lost to the Cheifs and Vikings. The schedule looks somewhat rich down the stretch with 3 games in a row vs the patriots, Bears and Jets weeks 14-16. This team should be able to hold onto a playoff spot. The game against the Patriots week 14 could be a tie breaker for a wild card spot if this team fails to keep pace with the Ravens.

Beating into retirement. LMAO. Well the 1st Jets coach is undefeated at least. No one else can say that. Shame he had to quit.

It's interesting that the top players from Madden 12 basically carried over into 25, even with the big differences between the two.

Silly to have draft grades..... guys draft players that fit their user skills... Dcolon might not have the highest ranked players but i'll bet he has one of the fastest teams in lg.... cant teach speed... can teach a guy to catch, run routes, be more aware etc.....

All the teams on this top ten list made the playoffs HA

Oh wait check that my bad. The patriots were not on the list that means the browns or the ravens messed up down the stretch.
