Week 1 Power Rankings
Week 1 Power Rankings had a lot to go through. AS there is only one game down it is hard to determine the top 10 from the random upsets. As the season moves along there will be a more clear top 10 and you will know who to fight for. But unless the Buccaneers loose they will a top these power rankings.
1) (--) Tampa Bay BuccanersBeast-Mode412
As the Buccaneers took on the Colts in week one, it was definitely a one sided affair. The Bucs won easy 42-9. As they did give up 218 yards passing they only let up 77 yards rushing. But I think their offense is what is scary going for 427 total offense. HB F.Jones had a big day rushing for 150 yards on 16 carries. They are up against the Dallas Cowboys in the game of the week.
2) (+1) Dallas CowboysI_LovE_Areolas
Now was this a game to watch. With a come back victory by the Cowboys after being down 13 with a minute to go. The cowboys scored with 17 seconds left in the game, recovered the onside kick and then with a hail mary on the first play for 65 yards the Cowboys won 27-26 over the Arizona Cardinals
3) (-1) Pittsburgh Steelers burninthepaint
The Steelers may have fallen a spot this week but they are still one of the top teams in the league. They beat the New England Patriots 27-17 with a 10 point 4th quarter to seal the deal. The steelers where lead by 2nd year HB M.Smith rushing for 145 yards on 17 carries. The steelers show they are still about that run game.
4) (--) Houston Texans xXninO-BLACKxx
After smashing the Jaguars in week one the Texans seem to be picking up right where they left off last season with a 49-7 victory. Jamal Charles was simply amazing this week. Rushing for 219 yards 5 TDs on 18 carries. The top half of the rankings seem to be dominated by the run game.
5) (new) Oakland Raiders BROWARDGOONS.
After a shout out in the pre-season rankings the Raiders make a huge splash coming in at #5. With a victory over Bills and showing off that raiders offense there D may want to improve after giving up a 28 point 4th quarter and almost being upset. Lets see if they can hold up to the hype week 2 vs the Detroit Lions
6) (--) New York Giants KrisJ_85
With a very impressive 52-29 win over the Washington Redskins The Giants definitely made a statement. With a huge 1st half scoring 42 points the redskins had little hope of coming back. Turnovers were the key to this game as it was 5-0 and thats what gave the Giants this win.
7) (--) Denver Broncos General_Hon
Sunday Night Football did not dissapoint as this was a close one vs two very good teams. And with a late drive the Broncos came out on top over the Chicago Bears 21-14. Holding the Bears to only 154 total yards was the key to this game. Was this a fluke or a statement? we will see in the weeks to come
8 ) (--) Seattle Seahawks GREENERRR
The only shut out of the week. 20-0 over the Packers. Holding them to only 4 yards rushing is almost unheard of! As the Seahawks dominated the run game and the time of possession. They are keeping to the same tune as they did last season and it is working!
9) (new) San Francisco 49ers CantBbeat83
Knocking off the Ravens of their spot in the power rankings the Niners slide in at #9. Winning impressively 31-16 they forced the Ravens to 5 turnovers this week. Was this luck? Or will the Niners continue to move up in the rankings
10) (new) New York Jets RaidersNationx2
Rounding out the top 10 are none other than the New York Jets One of my teams to watch out for in the pre-season showed up this week against the Miami Dolphins winning 31-3. I am going to make a prediction right here " The Jets will have the top ranked DEFENSE by the end of the season." Lets see if they can keep it up next week vs the Cleveland Browns who is no team to look over.
Teams To Watch Out For
St Louis Rams
Kansas City Chiefs
Carolina Panthers
Was their loose a fluke or are they on the decline?
Arizona Cardinals
Baltimore Ravens
