exactly!! i don't think anyone read the explanation as to why it SEEMS legit, but when you look at what the ai does its clear moving inside then all the way out creates an unfair advantage. unless we want a ridiculous amount of kickoff returns i propose the returner should just run straight and look for a seem. its possible, rare, but possible. i even have one on video if anyone cares to see a LEGIT return.

Great job on the videos falcon. However, I think it's important that other new players know that the video does not encompass EVERYTHING that is illegal. It's still imperative to read the rules, because I know that now people are gonna whine about whatever complaint "not being in the video" instead of, "i didn't know it was a rule".

i hope their smart enough to realize there are other rules lol, like why would i make random numbers up for the vid. it still seems like a lot of people aren't getting it or just don't care...

Yeah unfortunatly not a lot of ppl in our leagues really care to know or check these rules/video. The video was a BIG help for we when it came to the IOR. When I first read what Greener wrote about it, I picture some crazy BS moves that are uncommon to the NFL. Then after watching the video, it showed that even though the return looks legit and is a regular used move in real life, because of the shtty AI its kind of unfair or cheap for players to use it.

Hopefully they can patch some of the defender AI, because those terrible angles aren't only on KOs. To really see how bad it is and obvious, play a mini running game on All Madden and watch the Safety and how easy it is to get him to pursue with a terrible angle.

I'm all for the IOR, in the other thread I was just bringing up a point that what Greener wrote and what the video showed were not exactly the same move, but it still tricked the AI and was still based on the same principle, and its better you video taped the simpler version of it so there is no confussion.

In the end there are still gonna be ppl that use these moves in our leagues and will probably claim ignorance, either because they are ignorant or just lazy, and hopefully after a season or two most of them will be weeded out. I just want a fair, legit game, that's it. I am definatly not a Cheeser, find no reason to cheat to win, I got better things to do than cheat in a video game and would rather lose playing fair than win cheesing. One player that can vouch for me is Cheddar Cheez (ironic lol) as he is definatly a LEGIT sim player, and the best player I have played so far, one of the only legit ones too.

it is really unfortunate we have to nurse the ai along to stay within the realm of realism, and sorry to say but there isn't a whole lot realistic in madden anymore. most the players don't even play their positions correctly. the last few league games i've played all my opponents were trying the IOR return, AND moving the other returner. i'm sure they are unaware but again people aren't coming on to check the rules.

i shut the return down by just waiting on the outside to make the tackle but still, if i miss its a td or big return every time. g-villa, exweightloss and da_gr_8_test all did it...and i'm not one to harp on rules if i can stop it, but its still an issue and will be for all other league members.

like vista said, i think on situations like qb rollouts with a speedy qb it should mostly be up to us to stop it. gvilla had young AND johnson, and initially was moving the ball by rolling out nearly every pass play and dumping if off to johnson. BUT, there IS realism to that as its something tennessee does a lot. i immediately manned johnson up with d. hall and spy'd young with tapp on the line bringing pressure from a cb or olb blitz. this effectively shut it down, to where i even won by a shutout. point is, a lot of these ai blunders are able to be countered...but things like nano's cannot. when there is no definitive counter to a play i call it a glitch, and those need to be eliminated.

Greenerrr Is there a way you can post the return by harrison When I think of inside out it is not the return Falcon has shown us it is however the return that Harrison pulled against you.

It is one thing to break outside another to go back and breakoutside But I am in agreement with the masses and We are never going to get everyone to agree I myself just roll with the flow.

Again what pulls my chain more then anything and it happened again last night in your league Greenerrr against Tomer732 I stop him on third down and he is facing 4th and 8 and he is on my 48 yard line and he no huddles and goes for it on fourth down I was up 21-14 at the time (He converted). Then later in the game with me trailing 42-28 he pulled the exact same play, He was actually on my 42 yard line this time, but this time I called timeout. But he went for it anyway and I was able to stop him and was actually a turning point as I ended coming back and winning the game.

Falcon, the thing is, if you have to make adjustments for things like the CJ/VJ rollout then you're pulling other players out of position and leaving holes in your defense, compared to in real life where the player covering the flat will actually cover chris johnson (whether they need to adjust their positioning to compensate for his speed), but the AI can't do that. What annoys me is that when I make the adjustments it leaves a HUGE hole in my defense which is usually pretty visible and exploitable.

Vista, that 4th Down no huddle tactic you faced is COMPLETELY un-sim. When have you ever seen a 4th and short conversion attempt that stemmed from a no huddle...let alone a 4th and long. Not even the Colts and their high-paced (not as much anymore) no huddle offense would do that on a 4th down. I'd suggest a rule about not being able to no-huddle into 4th down, but it's looking to me as if rules matter less and less these days, since it's hard to prove unless you have a camera since the replays suck.

Don't get me wrong, I know commissioners make an effort to weed out players that don't follow the rules, but between 2nd and 3rd chances given to players, and the amount of new people we get, it seems as though rule breakers get in faster than they are ousted, which means a never ending experience of people breaking rules to those of us who don't.
