The Future of the MG and MLB group

the growth of the MG has been awesome lots of new faces that just want to play sim-football. i sent a message out to greener outlining a few ideas for the MLB the show group that is runned by Greenerrrr as well. After doing a little bit of research i have found out that EA get's the chance to licence MLB games again in 2012-2013 if im not mistakin.. if that's the case, expect the MLB game from EA be very similar to Madden with a twist of some things from "The Show". expect a 10 year franchise, a Road to the show, a Franchise mode inwhich you can create your own stadium like in MVP 2005. In my opinion MLB the show might be taking a down turn they have turned their control system to 2K controls, the reason why nobody plays 2K is for that exact reason.

I just want to see the interest in who will be getting MLB 11 The Show.
Also If anyone needs some practice and still has their MLB 10 The Show game, I can run a league ( that allows time for you to play your MG games ) and still complete a 8-30 man league by March 8th!!

Y'all can email me @ tmilton13@hotmail.com if you need any questions.. I played "The Show" from March 3rd last year until i got Madden on December 26th.. everyday so i know the ins and outs of "the show".

I'll prob get the show this year. But if EA get's the liscense I prob won't ever buy it again. I think SCEA will do a better job of the 2k control mechanics than 2K does, and they have the option to use the same control scheme from The Show 10. It's really a toss up for me between NBA 2k11 and The Show 10...and maybe Fifa 11 for best sports game ever IMO.

i really don't like baseball, but i might get it just to keep playin within the group.

Im just trying to see for interest sakes on who will get it, and if anyone wants a league for some tune ups. in no way was i trying to take away from the MG just trying to promote our other part of our arsenal being MLB. but yes chedda you are right about the controls, im just saying in the future they may keep it i dont know. but if EA does exactly what they do for madden and incorporate what they did for MVP baseball 2005 then itll be one hell of a game.

FF- baseball is great, but its your choice. you dont have to play it's just another part of the whole GROUP.

great to hear. if any of yall have or can get the game(mlb 10) cheap then you may want to buy it to test it out a little, try to get your feet under you before we start.

my only question is if we do an mlb the show franchise.. is there like an fantasy draft like madden or will we be using standard teams?? sorry i havent played an true baseball game since like slugfest 2003, the bigs on ps2.. before that it was mlb 2000.. but i would be interested in joining an lg...

either, you can do a fantasy draft for 40 players per team or just use regular teams.

I had the show 10 - I will have the Show 11 also. I have never played baseball online - I'm looking forward to playing guys here.

Baseball is actually my number 1 sport.

We willl utilize the message board we had last year... I just gotta clean iut up - delete all last years posts - almost 300 members already signed up in our MLB the SHOW Group...

but i want to re-iterate - the MG will not fade away like last season - i have started a recruiting campaign to help ensure a steady stream of Madden Supporters are around - PLS SEE STRING IN GENERAL DISCUSSION - i could use your support with it...

agreed greenerrrr.. i have posted stuff on PNL on mlb 10, and on IGN boards, im working on getting a spot on MLB 11 the show website for our Group. and if i can use all of my connections we could get some kind of article on mlb.com

thats the link from last years.

another thing i told greenerrrr last night is that we do sorta the same thing we are doing for the MG but make a World Series. have us play in our lgs and play and what not and play until the end of july right before madden again.

i would love to join the show, but the show had a crippling affect of the MG last year...everything died...i at-least want a franchise to go 10 seasons...

how is the lag when trying to hit a ball? if its as bad as some madden games it'd just be impossible to play...
